Better yet, do you want to visit the tallest Bridge Observatory in the world and the only such structure in the Western Hemisphere? The Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observtory is just an eight minute drive from the Orland House and will open on 1 May at 9:00 AM. Admission to the 42 story observatory is just $5 and includes a day pass to historic Fort Knox. Located on US Rte One along the Penobscot River across from Bucksport Maine and Verona Island. It's worth a visit just to enjoy the Bridge and look at the Observatory and Fort from the Bucksport Waterfront. Call 469-6553FMI.
